Platinum identity creatively developed by Scott McGuffie whilst at Interbrand.
Previously marketing itself differently within each cultural pocket, Platinum needed to build brand recognition to help expand into new markets. Creating an impactful, distinct brand identity and delivering consistency wherever it was seen helped to unify global markets and build awareness. This was also the perfect opportunity to deliver a more emotional personality by highlighting the true qualities that Platinum possess.
A strapline was created for Platinum to reflect these qualities. ‘Pure, Rare, Eternal’. The design work involved the creation of a specially drawn monogram ‘PT’ and the use of a special blue, to complement the lustre of the metal. The use of water became a strong underlying element bringing the values of purity to life.
