Workout is a charity project that recruits offenders whilst in prison, and then provides them with jobs when they leave. The ex-offenders are trained, coached and encouraged to stay in their new employment, and helped not to return to crime.
ASHA was asked to create an identity for Workout. We recommended that the charity should practice what it preaches, and that we would work with prisoners to develop the Corporate Identity. We ran a tattoo design competition across London prisons, with simple, easy to use, entry forms and an in-prison poster campaign to advertise the competition. From the hundreds of entries, a small number of winners were chosen. These tattoos were then applied to different pieces of corporate collateral to create a richer and distinctive Corporate Identity.
